Requirements to obtain a Real Estate License
The basic requirement to hold a license in Georgia is you must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. If you are a resident of the state you receive a resident license, if you live out of state you obtain a non resident license. To obtain a salesperson license you must complete a 75 hour prelicense course and pass a state administered exam with a 75% passing score. The prelicense course may be completed by taking an in-class course or by independent study. To obtain a Real Estate Broker License you must have an active license for three years, be 21 years old and complete an additional 60 hour course.
